As an experienced AfN Registered Nutritionist, Speaker, Coach and Writer, I can change your relationship with food.

Do you know the importance of a ‘healthy’ diet, but struggle with emotional eating and food noise?

The world of nutrition can be confusing to navigate, with so much conflicting information. Your relationship with food is complex and difficult to understand. You know you have a choice what to eat and yet making conscious decisions around food feels overwhelming.

You can gain control of the chaos with a fresh approach.

With FadFree Nutrition, there are no rules or judgement. I offer simple, actionable tips, seasoned with flexibility and joy. Your diet doesn’t have to be good, just good enough.

Focus on what to add in, not what to take away.

I offer a wide range of topics and will tailor these to your organisation. Talks can be delivered in person or online, with no audience too big or too small. All sessions are interactive, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion (often the best bit!).

Combining over 30 years of experience in corporate speaking, with my passion for nutrition and sensitivity to individual differences, I motivate my audiences to look at diet from a fresh perspective.

All talks are delivered with a hefty portion of realism and lightly seasoned with a pinch of non-judgemental rebellion.

Don’t just take my word for it:

“The information and guidance in our session ‘Food and Mindset’ was incredibly valuable, delivered so coherently and in such a supportive way. Thank you so much for taking the time to tailor the presentation to our organisation. You are an amazing presenter and made a very difficult job look easy.

Food is Not a Moral Issue

A woman sitting in a green armchair, smiling, with a brick wall and a plant in the background.

If you are frustrated that you’ve been trying to change your diet for years and feel like you’re going round in circles, striving for perfection, demonising certain foods, and beating yourself up when you fall short of your restrictive goals, you are likely to be trapped in an ‘All or Nothing’ mindset. It is possible to escape and it will be such a relief!

This course will develop the tools you need to fundamentally change your food mindset, for the rest of your life. You will leave guilt behind and discover a calm, positive and enjoyable relationship with food.

“The course really cuts through all the clutter that I’ve been bombarded with over the years. It feels sensible and true. Like a road map out of the chaos of nutritional misinformation and diet culture. It is such a relief to break free. My food choices are now driven by confidence, not cravings.”

I simplify nutritional science into impactful and accessible content.

I enable my clients to connect with their audiences by creating clear, engaging content. I am experienced at writing blogs, social media posts, articles, wellbeing leaflets and website copy.

With a background in academic writing, I create copy accurately grounded in the evidence and brought to life with my signature down-to-earth, slightly rebellious style.

“I just wanted to take the time to say ‘you’re effing brilliant!’ As a fellow believer in ‘it’s not rocket science’, I find you hit the mark perfectly, every single time. Your style of writing is so brilliant at getting over things which are so simple, without sounding patronising or pretending it is new news. I LOVE it! ”

Why choose an AfN Registered Nutritionist?

A woman with short gray hair smiling, wearing a button-up shirt with a cat pattern, sitting in a cozy, sunlit room with brick walls and large windows.

It is important to check credentials if you are choosing a nutritionist, because the title ‘nutritionist’ is not protected by law, so anyone can claim to be one! Doctors, therapists and fitness professionals are not necessarily Registered Nutritionists.

The Association for Nutrition (AfN) is the independent regulator for Registered Nutritionists. They provide reassurance to the public that a nutrition professional deliver an evidence-based service.

A Registered Nutritionist will be listed on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN). This is the only Register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England, NHS Choices and NHS Careers.

To be registered, a person must be qualified in Nutrition to a graduate or postgraduate level. They must also be practising regularly and provide evidence of working to rigorous standards of competency, ethics and professionalism. Significant annual CPD requirements ensure that this competency is kept up-to-date.

Typically, within 3-5 full time years of relevant experience, a Registered Nutritionist can submit a portfolio to move their status from ANutr to RNutr.

I am extremely proud to have achieved RNutr status in 2024, in the specialist area of Public Health.

Search the Register here.

Am I Addicted to Sugary Foods?

The short answer is no. There is no scientific evidence that sugar can be addictive in humans. What feels like being addicted to sugary foods is more likely a behavioural pattern, rooted in restriction, guilt and blood sugar swings.

This is not to belittle the intense cravings for sugar that some people experience. Read my blog to understand, without judgement, why you may feel addicted to sugar and what you can do to help yourself.
